Chapter 1: The Challenge Begins

I've finished creating my Sims for the challenge.  First the Rulers of Dragon Valley will be King Kenrick Royal, and Queen Clarissa Royal.  His Traits, chosen randomly, are:  No Sense of Humor, Over Emotional, Unflirty, Equestrian, and Computer Whiz.  This means that in his lifetime, these laws are enacted: No Telling Jokes, and Tax Breaks for Horse Owners.  And, though it doesn't mean anything for the challenge, the queen's traits are: Can't Stand Art, Unstable, Bookworm, Genius, and Friendly.

Now for my own family, the Outlaws Devin, and Ella Leighton.  His traits are:  Slob, Loves the Outdoors, Night Owl, Gatherer, and Angler.  And her traits are: Daredevil, Loves the Heat, Angler, Friendly, and Athletic.

Their Story:

Accused of a crime he didn't commit, Devin Leighton was forced to flee his home.  His property was all seized by the authorities, and his reputation ruined.  The only people who would take him in was a family of Gypsies.  Devin lived with them for a few years, and even married their daughter, Ella.  But when the King's persecution of the Gypsies became stronger, his father in law decided to move to another area.  Devin, with the support of his wife, decided to stay.  He had been rather lazy while staying with the Gypsies, but if his new family will survive on their own they are going to need to work very hard.  He did learn a lot from his in-laws, for instance, one very large bribe to the right official can make certain crimes forgotten. If he can scrounge enough cash, he may be able to pay off the authorities, and clear his name.  Though he knows he will never get his land back, he believes there is more hope for his descendants in Dragon Valley than anywhere else.

Day 1:  I bought the 2 sleeping bags, Fire Pit, and 2 Chairs, Pictured above, and used Cheats to bring their money down to $0.  Then, after picking up their gear, they headed down to a fishing spot.

Then After a long day of Fishing, they had dinner, a couple of minnows cooked over a fire pit.

Then, since it was after dark, they headed down to the local grocery store, and sold their fish.  The day's total earnings are $100.  Not bad for a first day.  The day ended when the couple went to sleep on their sleeping bags.
